Gauges and meters (7-inch display) The meters display various drive information. Engine coolant temperature gauge Displays the engine coolant temperature. Outside temperature (Outside temperature display) Analog meter The dial type of analog meter can be changed on of the multi-information display. (Gauges, meters and multi-information display (with 7-inch display) (, )) Tachometer: Displays the engine speed in revolutions per minute. Analog speed meter: Displays the vehicle speed. Digital speedometer Displays the vehicle speed. Shift position and shift range indicator Displays the selected shift position or selected shift range. (Shift position purpose and functions, Manual transmission*) Clock (Adjusting the clock) Automatically adjusts the time by using the GPS time information (GPS clock). For details, refer to “ MULTIMEDIA OWNER’S MANUAL”. Fuel gauge Displays the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank.In the following situations, the actual quantity of fuel remaining in the tank may not be displayed correctly. Refer to Fuel gauge and driving range display if the actual quantity of fuel remaining in the tank is not displayed correctly. A small amount of fuel is added. Fuel is added with the fuel gauge near or at “ F”. The vehicle is stopped on an uneven surface, such as a slope. The vehicle is driven on a slope or around a curve. Distance to empty Displays driving range with remaining fuel. (Distance to empty) Multi-information display Presents the driver with a variety of vehicle data. (Multi-information display (7-inch display)) Displays warning messages if a malfunction occurs. (If a warning message is displayed) Odometer and distance until next engine oil change display Odometer:Displays the total distance the vehicle has been driven. Distance until next engine oil change:Displays the distance the vehicle can be driven until an oil change is necessary. The distance until the next engine oil change will also be displayed in the following situations: When the engine switch is turned to ON. When a warning message indicating that oil maintenance should be performed soon or is required is displayed. Resetting: After changing the engine oil Note: The meters and display illuminate when The engine switch is in ON. When the drive mode is changed Background color is changed following the selected driving mode. (Driving mode select switch*) If the units of measure for speedometer can be changed The other units of measure is also displayed as shown in the illustrations. Outside temperature display Displays the outside temperature within the range of -40°F (-40°C) to 140°F (60°C). When the outside temperature is approximately 37°F (3°C) or lower, the indicator will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on. In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or the display may take longer than normal to change. When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 12 mph [20 km/h]) When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a garage, tunnel, etc.) When “ --” or “ E” is displayed, the system may be malfunctioning.Take your vehicle to your Toyota dealer. Fuel gauge and driving range display The fuel gauge and driving range display are linked. If the fuel gauge and driving range display do not update after refueling a small amount, they can be updated by performing the following procedure: Stop the vehicle on a level surface. Wait until the fuel in the fuel tank stabilizers. Turn the engine switch off. While pressing and holding of the meter control switch, turn the engine switch to ON. Continue holding of the meter control switch for approximately 5 seconds. Release the button when the odometer begins blinking.Updating will be complete when the odometer blinks for approximately 5 seconds and then returns to the normal display. Distance to empty This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that displayed. When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may not be updated. When refueling, turn the engine switch off. If the vehicle is refueled without turning the engine switch off, the display may not be updated. When “ Refuel” is displayed, the remaining fuel amount is low and the distance that can be driven with the remaining fuel cannot be calculated. Refuel immediately. Liquid crystal display Liquid crystal display Customization The gauges and meters can be customized in of the multi-information display. (Gauges, meters and multi-information display (with 7-inch display) (, )) Warning: The information display at low temperatures Allow the interior of the vehicle to warm up before using the liquid crystal information display. At extremely low temperatures, the information display monitor may respond slowly, and display changes may be delayed. For example, there is a lag between the driver’s shifting and the new gear number appearing on the display. This lag could cause the driver to downshift again, causing rapid and excessive engine braking and possibly an accident resulting in death or injury. Notice: To prevent damage to the engine and its components Do not let the indicator needle of the tachometer enter the red zone, which indicates the maximum engine speed. The engine may be overheating if the engine coolant temperature gauge is in the red zone (H). In this case, immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, and check the engine after it has cooled completely. (If your vehicle overheats) ClockAdjusting the clock The clocks on the following can be adjusted on the multimedia system screen. Note: Clock settings screen If “ Clock:00” is displayed when is selected on the multi-information display, the system may be malfunctioning.Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota dealer. Brightness control Instrument panel light control Instrument panel light control Meter Instrument panel light control Instrument panel light control The brightness of the instrument panel lights can be adjusted. Pressing the button will adjust brightness of the instrument panel light. The brightness of the instrument panel lights can be adjusted by pressing the button. Short press: 1 step change of brightness level. Long press: continues change of brightness level until released. Note: Instrument cluster brightness adjustment The instrument cluster brightness levels when the tail lights are on and off can be adjusted individually. However, when the surroundings are bright (daytime, etc.), turning on the tail lights will not change the instrument cluster brightness.
